GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College men's soccer team was shutout by Cornerstone University, 6-0, in its season-opener this evening at the CU Soccer Stadium in Grand Rapids.

- Records: Cornerstone 2-0-1 overall, Olivet 0-1-0 overall
- The Golden Eagles built a 5-0 lead at halftime after scoring goals in the 12th, 15th, 19th, 35th and 39th minutes.
- Cornerstone capped its scoring with a goal with just over two minutes left in the game.
- Sophomore Zachary Stephan topped Olivet with four shots, including two on-goal.
- Sophomore Carter Scheel recorded two shots.
- Junior Carlos Santos was in net for the entire game and collected one save.
- Tyler Corstange and Christian Galloway each scored two goals.
- Chana Batan and Luke Stewart had one goal apiece.
- Galloway tallied four of the 10 Cornerstone shots.
- Ethan Pike played the first half in goal and had one save.
- Robert Gutierrez was in goal for the second half and made two saves.
