Rosendale’s hat trick leads men’s soccer team to 4-2 win at Adrian
ADRIAN, Mich. – Senior Joshua Rosendale recorded a hat trick to lead the Olivet College men’s soccer team to a 4-2 win over Adrian College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contest tonight at Docking Stadium. With the victory, the Comets have secured a spot in the 2021 MIAA Tournament.

isADRIAN, Mich. – Senior Joshua Rosendale recorded a hat trick to lead the Olivet College men's soccer team to a 4-2 win over Adrian College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contest tonight at Docking Stadium. With the victory, the Comets have secured a spot in the 2021 MIAA Tournament.

- The Bulldogs led 1-0 at halftime behind a goal by Robbie Precious in the 15th minute.
- Rosendale scored three straight goals to put the Comets ahead 3-1. The first goal came just 28 seconds into the second half. The second was in the 54th minute and the third was in the 83rd minute. Junior Noah Runnals earned an assist on the middle goal.
- Freshman Jose Vargas netted his first collegiate goal in the 85th minute. Junior Kjeil Dickinson was credited with an assist on the goal.
- Adrian capped the scoring in the 89th minute when Patrick Hanlon found the back of the net.
- Olivet took nine shots compared to 13 for the Bulldogs.
- Rosendale topped the team with four shots.
- Senior Andrew Aragon and freshman Carter Timm played the first half and second half, respectively, in goal. Both keepers had two saves.
- Precious topped the team with three shots, including two on-goal.
- Alex Brock allowed the four goals and made one save.
- Rosendale is the 10th player to record a hat trick in Olivet men's soccer history.
- The three goals tonight for Rosendale move him into a tie for third all-time with 26 goals.
- The Comets earned the No. 6 seed in the MIAA Tournament and will travel to play No. 3 seed Hope College in the first round on Saturday night. Game time at Van Andel Soccer Stadium in Holland is 6 p.m. The top two seeds of the MIAA Tournament have received byes and will play winners of the first round games next Wednesday, November 3.
