OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's soccer team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Trine (Ind.) University, 2-0, this evening under the lights at the Olivet Community Schools Stadium.

Records: Trine 6-6-0 overall, 1-1-0 MIAA; Olivet 3-7-0 overall, 1-1-0 MIAA
- Freshman Zachary Stephan and senior Noah Runnals peppered the goal with shots in the first three minutes, forcing the Trine keeper to make a pair of saves.
- The turning point of the game came in the 30th minute when an Olivet player was given a red card, resulting in the Comets to play a man down for the remainder of the game.
- Olivet kept the Thunder off the scoreboard for the rest of the first half to keep the score at 0-0.
- Trine scored the only goal it would need in the 78th minute when Tyler Murphy found the back of the net.
- The Thunder were able to add to their lead with just over two minutes left in the game. Following a foul in the box, Alhasen Yahya buried a penalty kick attempt into the net at the far post.
