N. MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Olivet College men's soccer team lost 4-1 Manchester (Ind.) University this afternoon at Good Field.
Final Score: Manchester 4, Olivet 1
Location: Good Field; North Manchester, Indiana
Records: Manchester 2-4-1 overall, Olivet 1-4 overall
- The Spartans took a 1-0 lead on a goal in the fourth minute.
- Olivet leveled the score in the 23rd minute when senior Joshua James found the back of the net. Sophomore David James and junior Noah Runnals were each credited with an assist on the goal.
- Manchester netted two more goals – one of the 27th minute and the second in the 43rd minute – to take a 3-1 lead at halftime.
- The Spartans capped their scoring with a goal in 62nd minute.
- Olivet recorded seven shots in the game, including three for Rosendale.
- Sophomore Carlos Santos started in goal and played the first 86 minutes. He made six saves.
- Junior Peter Roose was in goal for the final four minutes.
- Harley Kruschwitz had a hat trick (three goals) and an assist for Manchester. He posted a team-leading six shots.
- Chris Gerken tallied two shots.
- Aidan Brunkow earned the win in goal, as he collected two saves while playing all 90 minutes.
- The Comets stay on the road and will play a 1 p.m. game tomorrow at Baldwin Wallace (Ohio) University.
