OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's soccer team led 2-0 at halftime and hung on to beat Earlham (Ind.) College, 2-1, today inside the Olivet Community Schools Stadium.

- The Comets took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute. After a foul was called on an Earlham player, freshman Zachary Stephan served the ball into the box and junior Cole Miller tapped the ball into the goal at the near post.
- Olivet extended its lead to 2-0 with just under five minutes before halftime. Junior Kjeil Dicksinson scored the goal, and senior Dominik Burmeister was credited with the assist.
- Earlham found the back of the net for the first time in the 83rd minute. The Quakers pushed for the equalizer over the final seven minutes, and nearly got it in the 87th minute but a finger-tip save by Olivet keeper Andrew Aragon kept the ball out of the goal.
- Olivet finished the game with a slight 10-9 advantage in total shots. The Quakers did have one more shot-on-goal.
- Dickinson, Miller and Stephan each tallied two shots.
- Aragon collected five saves, while playing all 90 minutes in goal.
- Kevin Arias scored the Earlham goal.
- Jon Todd registered three of the nine Quaker shots.
- Kevin Arias and Conner Kimball each recorded two shots.
- Tyler Smith suffered the loss in goal. He allowed both goals and had three saves.
- Olivet rests tonight and is back in action tomorrow in Greencastle, Indiana, to play DePauw (Ind.) University at 2:30 p.m.
