Runnals named MIAA Athlete Player of the Week for men’s soccer
FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College sophomore Noah Runnals has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Athlete of the Week for men’s soccer.
FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College sophomore Noah Runnals has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Athlete of the Week for men's soccer.
Runnals scored the game-winning goal in the Comets' 3-2 win over Alma College in its MIAA-opener March 25 at Bahlke Field in Alma. Earlier in the week, he recorded the assist on the game-winning goal in Olivet's 3-2 double overtime victory over Albion College March 22 in its season-opener at the Davis Athletic Complex in Albion.
"Given all of the hard work, dedication and commitment that he has shown, I am so happy for Noah," said Olivet head soccer coach Doug Carter. "Although this is an individual award, I hope it also shows how much progression the team has shown."
Following today's game at Trine (Ind.) University, Runnals and the Comets host Calvin University in their home-opener Friday afternoon at 4 p.m.
