Olivet College’s Felsing earns Academic All-District honors
Olivet College senior soccer player Ethan Felsing (Mason) has earned 2010 ESPN The Magazine/College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District IV honors. He is a first-team selection and advances to the national College Division Academic All-America® ballot.
OLIVET, Mich. -- Olivet College senior soccer player Ethan Felsing (Mason) has earned 2010 ESPN The Magazine/College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District IV honors. He is a first-team selection and advances to the national College Division Academic All-America® ballot.
Felsing, who carries a 3.72 grade point average (GPA) in integrated science, is the starting goalkeeper for the men's soccer team. He has started all 18 games and recorded a 0.90 goals against average (GAA). Felsing has had eight shutouts this season and has made 81 saves. He has had an outstanding four-year career at Olivet, with 23 total shutouts, 1.28 GAA and 389 saves.
The Academic All-America® program recognizes student-athletes who have succeeded in athletic competition and in the classroom. The members of the All-District IV teams are selected by sports information directors in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. To be eligible, the student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30.
