The Olivet College men’s soccer team was shutout by the host Battling Bishops, 3-0, tonight in the opening round of the Ohio Wesleyan Fred Myers Invitational in Delaware, Ohio.

The Olivet College men's soccer team was shutout by the host Battling Bishops, 3-0, tonight in the opening round of the Ohio Wesleyan Fred Myers Invitational in Delaware, Ohio. The Comets will play Kenyon (Ohio) College in a second round game tomorrow evening at 5 p.m.
The game was scoreless for the first 75 minutes. Ohio Wesleyan broke the drought with a penalty kick goal by Tyler Wall in the 75th minute. The Bishops added another goal less than four minutes later at the 78:15 mark and closed the scoring with a double-assisted goal in the 83rd minute.
Three Comets were each credit with a shot. The only shot-on-goal was by sophomore Clay Robinson (Marshall). Ohio Wesleyan peppered in 33 shots, but only 10 were on-goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Ethan Felsing (Mason) collected seven saves.
Following tomorrow's game, Olivet will be idle until next Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 6-7 when it participates in the Denison (Ohio) University Invitational.
