Lockwood named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for men’s soccer

Lockwood scored four goals to help the Comets post a pair of non-conference victories last week. He had two goals in a 7-1 win against Finlandia University Sept. 16 and added two more goals at Manchester (Ind.) College Sept. 20. For the week, Lockwood took 14 shots, including nine on-goal.
For the season, Lockwood is second on the team with nine points (four goals and one assist). He leads Olivet with 11 shots-on-goal and is tied for the team lead with 17 total shots.
Lockwood and the Comets (2-3-1) open the MIAA portion of their schedule Wednesday when they travel to play Trine (Ind.) University at 4 p.m.
