The Olivet College men's soccer team fell to Hope College, 2-1, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contest today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.
The Flying Dutchmen scored twice in the first half. The Comets cut their deficit to 2-1 with a goal in the 75th minute. Off a corner kick by sophomore Clay Robinson (Marshall), freshman Ross Cutler (Ann Arbor/Pioneer) headed the ball down over the goal line.
Offensively, Olivet took 12 shots, including three each for senior Graham Lockwood (Haslett/Williamston) and sophomore Mike May (Mason). In goal, sophomore Ethan Felsing (Mason) made six saves while facing 12 shots.
Olivet will be back in action Tuesday, Sept. 30, when it travels to play Adrian College at 6 p.m.
