Three men’s soccer players named to All-MIAA teams
Three Olivet College men’s soccer players have been named to the 2008 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) teams. Sophomore forward Mike May (Mason) is a first-team selection, while sophomore goalkeeper Ethan Felsing (Mason) and senior forward Graham Lockwood (Haslett/Williamston) are second-team selections.

Sophomore forward Mike May (Mason) is a first-team selection, while sophomore goalkeeper Ethan Felsing (Mason) and senior forward Graham Lockwood (Haslett/Williamston) are second-team selections. All-MIAA honors are based on a player's stats during the 14-game league schedule.
During MIAA play, Lockwood and May ranked among the league leaders in several offensive categories. Lockwood was first in shots (40) and shots per game (2.86), tied for first in goals (five) and game-winning goals (three), second in goals per game (0.36) and third in points (12) and points per game (0.86). May was second in shots (39) and shots per game (2.79), tied for fourth in goals (four) and game-winning goals (two) and tied for fifth in points (10).
Felsing started every game in goal for the Comets, recording a league-high 70 saves. He ranked second in shutouts (four) and third in goals against average (1.24).
May finished the 2008 season with 25 points (10 goals and five assists), while Lockwood had 21 points (nine goals and three assists). Felsing posted a 1.40 goals against average and collected 95 saves in 1,741 minutes in goal.
The Comets tied for third in the MIAA standings with an 8-6 record, their highest finish in school history. The eight league wins ties the 1998 team for the most in school history. Olivet had a 10-9-1 overall record for its first winning season since 2000.
