Men's soccer team shutout by Adrian, 1-0

The Olivet College men's soccer team was shutout by Adrian College, 1-0, today in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) game in Olivet.

Adrian (1-5, 1-1 MIAA) scored the only goal with 5:33 left in the contest. For the game, the Comets (1-6, 1-1 MIAA) outshot the Bulldogs, 21-14. Freshman Jared Thirjung (Garden City) recorded six shots, followed by sophomore Kevin Hagan (East Lansing) with five. In goal, junior Michael Manning (Charlotte) collected two saves.

Olivet continues MIAA play Tuesday, Sept. 26, when it hosts Hope College at 4 p.m.
