Men’s soccer team falls to Ohio Wesleyan, 2-1
The Olivet College men’s soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) this evening the OWU Fred Myers Invitational in Delaware, Ohio. For their efforts, sophomore Kevin Hagan (East Lansing) and junior Michael Manning (Charlotte) were named to the all-tournament team.

Senior Trent Bronsink (Byron Center/South Christian) scored an unassisted goal for the Comets at the 12:47 mark. In the 20th minute, the Bishops tied the game with an unassisted goal. They scored the game-winning goal with 14:52 remaining in the first half. Neither team was able to score a goal in the second half.
Manning played the entire game in goal, making four saves. In the tournament, he faced 40 shots and made nine saves. Hagan tallied two shots in the game.
The Comets return home to face Saginaw Valley State University in their home opener Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 4:30 p.m.
