Three Olivet College men’s soccer players scored a goal and another three players had an assist, as the Comets defeated Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Adrian College 3-1, this afternoon in Olivet.

Three Olivet College men's soccer players scored a goal and another three players had an assist, as the Comets defeated Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Adrian College 3-1, this afternoon in Olivet.
The Bulldogs (2-10-1, 0-8 MIAA) led 1-0 at halftime behind an own goal. Olivet (5-8-1, 4-3-1 MIAA) tied the game on a goal in the 51st minute by senior Rudy Pulido (Holt), which was assisted by freshman Kevin Hagan (East Lansing). Junior Trent Bronsink (Byron Center/South Christian) made the score, 2-1, at the 64:15 mark. Senior Gabe Pringle (Grand Blanc) earned the assist on the goal.
Junior Corey Evans (Mason) tallied an insurance goal for the Comets in the 73rd minute. Freshman Graham Lockwood (Haslett/Williamston) threw the ball into Evans for an assist.
For the game, Olivet took 21 shots, including 11 on-goal. Hagan had a team-high six shots, followed by sophomore Alan Holdorf (Novi) with four. In goal, senior Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids) started and played 79 minutes, facing four shots. Freshman Ben Richardson (Traverse City/Central) finished the game in goal. Neither keeper was credited with a save.
Olivet is back in action Wednesday, Oct. 19, when it hosts Tri-State (Ind.) University at 4 p.m.
