The Olivet College men's soccer team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Kalamazoo College, 4-1, this afternoon in Kalamazoo.
After the Hornets (3-5, 1-2 MIAA) jumped out to a 2-0 lead, freshman Alan Holdorf (Novi High School) scored for the Fighting Comets (2-4-3, 0-3 MIAA) at the 26:38 mark of the opening half.
For the game, Holdorf and junior Gabe Pringle (Grand Blanc High School) had two shots apiece. In goal, junior Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids High School) played the first 72:59. He allowed three goals and made seven saves. Freshman Michael Manning (Charlotte High School) finished the game in goal and made three saves.
Olivet is next in action Saturday, Oct. 2, when it hosts Adrian College in the second game of a women's/men's soccer doubleheader. The Lady Comet soccer team will play Kalamazoo College at noon, followed by the men's game at approximately 2:30 p.m.
