Olivet 17th at Ken Venturi Invitational

ANGOLA, Ind. –The University of Olivet men's golf team was 17th at the 2024 Ken Venturi Invitational, hosted by Trine (Ind.) University and played at the Zollner Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets' A team finished with a 336 team score, while the B team had a 342 team score.
- Wayne State University posted the low team score at 290.
- Andrew Daily was the lone golfer to shoot an under par score with a 70.
FOR THE COMETS
- Sophomore Brady Applegate topped the A team with an 81.
- The rest of the A team were each separated by one stroke, freshman Zachary Pier at 84, followed by sophomore Noah LaValley (85), freshman Bradon Ellis (86) and senior Connor Jewell (87).
- Senior Dylan Beck recorded the B team's low score with an 81 to equal his career-low round.
- Freshman Luke Hulburt shot an 84, followed by senior Colin Moore with a career-best 86.
- Sophomore Zachary Lull rounded out the B team with a 91.
UP NEXT
- The Comets compete on Saturday in their final Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) of the fall season. The round at the Tecumseh Golf Club gets started at 1 p.m.
