Olivet places eighth at MIAA Jamboree #3

WEST OLIVE, Mich. –The University of Olivet men's golf team finished eighth at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #3, played at Hope College's home course, the Wuskowhan Players Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets returned to the clubhouse with a 317 team score.
- The Flying Dutch used their home course to an advantage, besting Trine (Ind.) University by four strokes, 282 to 286.
- Trine teammates Carter Schnipke and Jake Bibly shared medalist honors with four-under par 68s.
FOR THE COMETS
- Sophomore Brady Applegate topped Olivet with a four-over par 76. His round included three birdies, 10 pars, three bogies and two double bogies.
- Senior Connor Jewell shot an 80, with three birdies and seven pars.
- Freshman Bradon Ellis carded an 80.
- Freshman Zachary Pier finished with an 81.
- junior Mitchell Bair-Pollard posted an 89.
- Sophomore Noah LaValley was an individual scorer and had an 84.
