Olivet finishes seventh at Cascades Clash

JACKSON, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's golf team was seventh at the one-day, 18-hole Cascades Clash, hosted by Albion College and played at the Cascades Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets returned to the club house with a 310 team score.
- Trine (Ind.) University won the team title with a 290 team score.
- Jack Besner from Trine was the individual medalist with a three-under par 69.
FOR THE COMETS
- Sophomore Noah LaValley posted Olivet's low score with a 74.
- Freshman Zachary Pier carded a 77.
- Sophomore Brady Applegate tallied a 79.
- Freshman Bradon Ellis had an 80.
- Senior Connor Jewell shot an 81.
UP NEXT
- The Comets begin Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play next Tuesday, September 10, for the first of four jamborees this fall. This one is at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana, and gets started at 1 p.m.
