Men’s Golf: Olivet places eighth at MIAA Spring Finale

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. –The University of Olivet men's golf team closed out the 2023-24 season with an eighth-place finish at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Spring Finale. Adrian College hosted the two-day tournament at the Legacy Golf Club.

- After carding a 359 in Friday's first round, the Comets shot 23 strokes better in today's round for a 336 to give them a two-day total of 695 strokes.
- Adrian College won the team title with a two-day total of 610 (297-313) strokes.
- Logan DeWitt from Hope College and Joe Renfer from Adrian shared medalist honors with matching 149s.
- With its second-place finish, Hope still captured the 2024 MIAA championship.
- Freshman Brady Applegate had Olivet's low score with a 170 (86-84).
- Freshman Noah LaValley posted the Comets' best score in the tournament with an 81 in today's second round. With a 90 in the first round, he had a two-day total of 171 strokes.
- Sophomore Mitchell Bair-Pollard shot a 180 (88-92).
- Freshman Zachary Lull completed his two rounds in 181 (95-86) strokes.
- Junior Dylan Beck recorded a 184 (99-85).
