Men’s golf team cards 302 to tie for fifth at MIAA Jamboree #6
The Olivet College men’s golf team posted its best team score of the season, but it was only good enough to tie for fifth-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #6. Today’s round was at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana.

Ties were the story today, as Olivet and Albion shared fifth-place with 302s. Calvin and Trine tied for first with 288s. Led by tournament medalist Winton Munch's 68, Hope was third at 294. Adrian finished fourth at 296. Alma and Kalamazoo tied for seventh with 307s.
Senior Nick Julian completed his round in 73 strokes. Sophomore Benjamin Hart and freshman Daniel Buehler each had a 75. Freshman Matt Sherry was next at 79. Freshman Joseph Gauck finished with an 81.
The Comets will participate in the seventh league jamboree next Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Wuskowhan Players' Club in West Olive.
