Two men’s golfers earn All-MIAA honors
Olivet College freshman Kory Roberts and junior Justin Ardelean have earned 2011 All-MIAA honors in men’s golf. Roberts is a first-team selection and Ardelean is a second-team selection.
OLIVET, Mich. -- Olivet College freshman Kory Roberts (Battle Creek/Lakeview) and junior Justin Ardelean (Owosso) have earned 2011 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) honors in men's golf. Roberts is a first-team selection and Ardelean is a second-team selection.
Roberts and Ardelean helped the Comets finish in fourth-place in the final MIAA standings, only 29 strokes behind MIAA champion Hope College and 10 strokes behind runner-up Trine (Ind.) University. Roberts placed fifth in the player standings with a 75.9 average over the eight-round league schedule. His low round of the fall was a 70 at the Zollner Golf Course. Ardelean, who also earned second-team All-MIAA honors in 2010, tied for the seventh best average at 76.7 average. His best round was a 73 at the Pine River Country Club.
