Men's golf team finishes in a three-way tie for first at MIAA Jamboree #6
The Olivet College men’s golf team finished in a three-way tie for first-place today at the MIAA Jamboree #6. Adrian College hosted the jamboree at the Lenawee Country Club in Tecumseh.

The Comets along with Hope and Tri-State (Ind.) all tied for the spot with 302 strokes. Albion was fourth at 308, followed by Alma, 313; Adrian, 320; Calvin, 336; and Kalamazoo, 346. With the tie, Olivet maintains its three-stroke lead over Hope in the MIAA seasonal standings, 1801-1804.
Senior Joe Kiss (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) placed second in the player standings with a one-over par 72. Junior Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario/International) was next at 76. Juniors Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michael's Catholic) and Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) along with sophomore Branden Stewart (Barrie, Ontario/Innisdale Secondary) each returned to the clubhouse with a 77.
The Comets will complete their MIAA schedule with the final two jamborees next week. On Monday, they will play at an outing hosted by Calvin at Watermark Country Club, and on Saturday, they will play in final round at Tri-State's Zollner Golf Course. Monday's round starts at 1:30 p.m., and Saturday's round gets started at 1 p.m.
