Men's golf team finishes in second-place at final MIAA jamboree, places second in the overall league standings

Overall, four Olivet golfers have earned 2007 All-MIAA honors. Junior Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michaels Catholic), senior Joe Kiss (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) and junior Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) are first-team selections, while junior Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario/International) is a second-team selection.
Hope College, who won the 2007 MIAA championship, carded a 285 team score today at the Zollner Golf Course, and beat Olivet by 12 strokes. In the overall league standings, Hope finished 17 strokes ahead of the Comets, 2,390-2,407.
In today's round, Kiss tied for third in the player standings with a 70. Ross was a stroke behind at 71, followed by Gleadall, 76; sophomore Branden Stewart (Barrie, Ontario/Innisdale Secondary), 80; and Lesansky, 82.
In the 2007 league standings, Kiss tied Hope's Matt Lapham for second-place with 589 strokes, only one stroke out of first-place. Ross was fourth at 596, and Gleadall was sixth at 607.
