Men’s golf team is runner-up at Nye Intercollegiate
The Olivet College men’s golf team placed second of 12 schools at the Nye Intercollegiate, which was played at the College’s of Wooster’s Wooster Country Club in Wooster, Ohio.

The Comets posted back-to-back team scores of 306 for a two-day total of 612. Ohio Wesleyan took first-place with a 603 (303-300). Denison (Ohio) University and Allegheny (Pa.) College tied for third-place with a 618, followed by the host Scots in fifth-place with a 629.
Olivet was led by junior Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International). He tied for third-place in the player standings with a two-round total of 149 strokes. Ross and Ohio Wesleyan's Jordan Benner tied for the low round today with a 73. Senior Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) finished in fifth-place with a 150, including a 73 in Saturday's first round. Senior Justin Guscinski (Hanover/Hanover-Horton) along with juniors Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michael's Catholic) and Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario/International) each had a 159.
The Comets will now wait to see if they are selected as an at-large team to compete at the 2008 NCAA Division III National Championships May 13-16 at the Chateau Elan Resort in Braselton, Georgia.
