Men's golf team places fourth at Denison Ted Barclay Spring Invitational
The Olivet College men's golf team placed fourth (out of 10 schools) at the two-day Denison University/Ted Barclay Spring Invitational, which was played on the par 71, 6,559-yard layout of the Granville Golf Club in Granville, Ohio.

After posting a 309 is Saturday's first round, the Comets were only one of two schools to lower their team score today with a 297 for a two-day total of 606. The top three schools were Otterbein (Ohio) College, 594, Mount Union (Ohio) College, 598, and Denison, 602.
Individually, junior Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) led Olivet with a 166 to place second in the player standings. In today's round, he had a two-under par 69 and was the only golfer to shoot an under-par round in the tournament.
Junior Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michael's Catholic) had a 76 each day for a two-day total of 152 strokes. Senior Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) was next with a 153 (77-76), followed by junior Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario/International) at 156 (81-75) and senior Justin Guscinski (Hanover-Horton) at 165 (80-85).
The Comets return to central Ohio next weekend to participate in the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational. Saturday's first round will be played at the Dornoch Golf Course, while Sunday's second round will be played at the Oakhaven Golf Course. Both courses are in Delaware, Ohio.
