Olivet College senior Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) posted a two-round total of 163 strokes at the 2008 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships at the Chateau Elan Resort in Braselton, Ga. With the 163, he missed the cut for the final two rounds.

After shooting an 82 in Tuesday's first round on the Chateau Course, Kiss shot an 81 in today's second round on the more difficult Woodlands Course. Beginning his day on the front nine, he was eight-over thru nine holes. On the back nine, Kiss went two-over par, including an eagle on the par-five, 511-yard 15th hole. His 163 total placed him in a tie for 108th-place (out of 180 golfers) in the player standings.

Olivet College senior Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) had an 82 today in the first round of competition at the 2008 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships at the Chateau Elan Resort in Braselton, Ga.

Kiss' 82 places him in a tie for 99th place (out of 180 golfers) in the player standings. He began his day on the back nine of the Chateau Course and posted an eight-over-par 43. On the front nine, Kiss posted six pars and three bogies. He was one of seven golfers to have a birdie on the par-4 17th hole.

Kiss will play the Woodlands Course in tomorrow's second round and will tee off at 8:18 a.m. After tomorrow's second round, the field will be cut to the top 23 teams and
