Olivet College’s Kiss selected to participate in NCAA Division III National Men’s Golf Championships
Olivet College senior Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) has been selected to compete at the 2008 NCAA Division III National Men’s Golf Championships May 13-16 at the Chateau Elan Golf Club in Braselton, Ga.
Olivet College senior Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) has been selected to compete at the 2008 NCAA Division III National Men's Golf Championships May 13-16 at the Chateau Elan Golf Club in Braselton, Ga. The championships are co-hosted by Emory University and the Gwinnett Sports Commission. Kiss is one of five individuals along with 35 teams chosen by a national committee to participate.
Kiss is a two-time first-team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) selection. During the 2007 fall season, he ranked second in the MIAA with a 73.6 stroke average in eight league jamborees. This spring, Kiss posted a 74.8 stroke average in three tournaments and six rounds. His lowest round of the 2007-08 season was a 70 Oct. 6 at the Zollner Golf Course.
