Olivet College’s Kiss earns PING All-America third-team honors
Olivet College senior Joe Kiss (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) has earned 2008 PING All-America third-team honors. This honor is named by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) following the completion of the NCAA Division III National Championships.
Olivet College senior Joe Kiss (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) has earned 2008 PING All-America third-team honors. This honor is named by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) following the completion of the NCAA Division III National Championships. In addition, Kiss and junior Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) have earned 2008 PING All-Great Lakes Region honors.
The duo helped Olivet finish in second-place in the final 2007 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) standings. Kiss, a three-time All-MIAA selection, posted a 76.0 stroke average in nine spring rounds, while Ross had a team-low 74.6 average in seven spring rounds. During the fall season, Kiss and Ross each totaled 738 strokes in 10 rounds for a 73.8 average. In MIAA play, Kiss was second with a 73.6 stroke average, only one stroke behind the seasonal medalist. Ross averaged 74.5 strokes in eight MIAA rounds.
