Men’s golf team ties for second-place at MIAA Jamboree #1
The Olivet College men’s golf team carded a 304 team score to finish in a tie for second-place today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #1. Albion College hosted the jamboree at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.

The Comets' score tied Alma College. Defending MIAA champion Hope College took first-place honors with a MIAA course record 294 team score.
Leading the way for Olivet was sophomore Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michael's Catholic). He fired a round of 73 strokes to share medalist honors with Hope's Tommy Yamaoka and Nate Golomb.
Sophomore Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario/ International) was one stroke behind with a 74. Junior Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) posted a 76, followed by sophomore Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) at 81 and junior Justin Gusczinski (Horton/Hanover-Horton) at 84.
Olivet is idle until it hosts the second MIAA Jamboree Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek. The event begins with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
