Men's golf team finishes in second-place at Nye Invitational
The Olivet College men’s golf team finished in second-place at the two-day, 36-hole College of Wooster (Ohio) Nye Invitational at the Wooster Country Club in Wooster, Ohio.

After finishing with a 319 team score yesterday, the Comets had a 317 today for a two-round total of 636 strokes. Otterbein (Ohio) College led the 16-team field with a 630 (328-302). Rounding out the top five teams were DePauw (Ind.) University in third-place, 645; followed by Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) and Heidelberg (Ohio) colleges at 646 and 647, respectively.
Individually, junior Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) was second with a two-round total of 150 strokes, including an even par 72 in today's round. Sophomore Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michaels Catholic) tied for sixth in the players' standings with a 156 (77-79). Sophomore Justin Lesansky (Lasalle, Ontario/International) was next with a 161 (79-82). Junior Christian Rowe (Midland/Dow) had a 171 (85-86), followed by junior Justin Gusczinski (Horton/Hanover-Horton) at 177 (93-84).
Olivet is back in action next Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22, when it participates in the annual Ohio Wesleyan University Strimer Invitational. Saturday's first round will be played at the Dornoch Golf Club and Sunday's second round will be played at the Oakhaven Golf Club. Both courses are in Delaware, Ohio.
