Men’s golf team finishes in second-place at MIAA Jamboree #7
The Olivet College men’s golf team finished in second-place today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #7, which was played at the Lenawee Country Club in Adrian.
The Olivet College men's golf team finished in second-place today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #7, which was played at the Lenawee Country Club in Adrian.
The Comets carded a team score of 306 strokes, two strokes ahead of Tri-State (Ind.) University and 12 strokes behind Hope College. Entering the final MIAA jamboree, Hope leads the overall standings with a 2,064 while Olivet is third at 2,138.
Senior Steve Ross (Rockford) earned medalist honors with a 69. Following him was junior Derrick Sayers (Battle Creek/Lakeview) at 77, freshman Robbe Trout (Charlotte) 79 and freshman Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) at 81. Freshman Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michaels Catholic) rounded the Comet lineup with an 83.
The final MIAA Jamboree is Monday, Oct. 3, at the Watermark Country Club in Grand Rapids.
