Men’s golf team finishes in third-place at MIAA Jamboree #2
The Olivet College men’s golf team finished in third-place today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #2, which was held at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek.

The Comets had a team score of 308 strokes to place behind Hope College (297) and Tri-State (Ind.) University (304). After two jamborees, Tri-State has a 605 to maintain its overall lead by one stroke over Hope while Olivet is third at 616.
Junior Derrick Sayers (Battle Creek/Lakeview) led the Comets today with a 75. Sophomore Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) was next at 77. Seniors Steve Ross (Rockford) and Mike Ward (Caledonia, Ontario/McKinnon Park) along with freshman Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) all had a 78.
The next MIAA Jamboree is Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Pine River Country Club. Alma College is the host school.
