The men’s golf team placed fourth (of seven teams) today at the Tri-State (Ind.) University A.C. Eddy Invitational at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana.

The Fighting Comets tallied a team score of 320 strokes. The host Thunder won the team championship with a 301, followed by Indiana Wesleyan University (306) and Huntington (Ind.) College (320).
The top Olivet finisher was freshman Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek), who fired a 39 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine for a round of 77 strokes. Freshman Christian Rowe (Midland/Dow) was one stroke behind Kiss with a 78. Following them was junior Mike Ward (Caledonia, Ontario) with an 82, freshman Justin Gusczinski (Hanover-Horton) with 83 and senior Andrew Wismer (Thornville, Ontario/Thornville Secondary) with an 84.
The Comets are back in action Friday-Saturday, April 15-16, when they participate in the College of Wooster (Ohio) Invitational.
