Men's golf team wins Aquinas Invitational team title

The Fighting Comets tallied a team score of 291 strokes to finished ahead of the host Saints by 12 strokes. Hope College's "B" team was third with a 305 and Davenport was fifth with a 306.
Individually, freshman Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) earned medalist honors with a 69. Senior Mike Dinner (Oakville, Ontario/St. Ignatius of Loyola) was one stroke behind, followed by junior Steve Ross (Rockford) with a 72, junior Mike Ward (Caledonia, Ontario) with an 80 and freshman Justin Gusczinski (Hanover-Horton) with an 81.
Olivet will wrap-up its fall schedule next week with two Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association jamborees. On Monday, the Comets play the Watermark Country Club in Grand Rapids with Calvin College serving as the host. On Saturday, Oct. 9, Adrian hosts a jamboree at the Lenawee Country Club.
