Richardson and Schipper named to All-MIAA Men’s Basketball teams
HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Sophomores Nathan Richardson and Conner Schipper from The University of Olivet have been selected to the 2024-25 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Men's Basketball teams. Schipper is a first-team pick and Richardson is an second-team honoree. All-MIAA recognition is based on a player's performance in the 14-game league schedule.
"We're very happy and proud of both Conner and Nate in earning this recognition for our program," said Olivet head men's basketball coach Sam Hargraves. "They deserve it because of their talent, but even more for how they represent our team with their unselfish mindset. They also get it done in the classroom and treat people the right way on campus and everywhere we go.
"Watching them grow as individual players has been incredible, but even more enjoyable is their relationship together. Their chemistry spreads throughout the whole program. They truly love playing together and are genuinely as happy with each other's success as their own. I cannot wait to watch their continued growth and see where they can take this program."
Over the 14 MIAA games, Schipper posted the league's top field goal percentage at 58.1 (79-of-136). In addition, he ranked fifth sixth in scoring (14.4 points per game), seventh in rebounding (6.8 rebounds per game) and tied for ninth in steals (10). Schipper's single-game scoring high was 26 points against Calvin University on February 12, 2025.
Among the league leaders, Richardson was third in scoring (17.4 ppg), fourth in field goal percentage (52.4), tied for fourth in total assists (35) and ninth in free throw percentage (70.2).
