GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College men's basketball team suffered a 92-74 loss to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leader Calvin University today at Van Noord Arena.

- Olivet made the first basket of the game. Calvin answered with a three-pointer and jump shot to go up 5-2. The Knights pushed their lead to as many as 16 points twice. After the second time at 44-28 with 2:22 left until halftime, the Comets scored six of the final eight points of the half to trail by 12 points at the break.
- In the second half, Calvin extended its lead to as many as 20 points, 68-48, with 10:37 showing on the clock. Olivet used a 14-5 run to cut its deficit down to 11 points, 73-62, at the 8:12 mark.
- Olivet was the first MIAA school to score more than 70 points against Calvin.
- Senior Ryan Robinette came off the bench to score a team-leading 16 points.
- Senior Derrick Johnson contributed 12 points.
- Junior Ryan Bart added 11 points.
- Freshman Haidyn Garrison grabbed a team-best five rebounds and scored eight points.
- Jalen Overway led all players with 30 points and 10 rebounds.
- Owen Varnado had 18 points.
- Marcus Bult scored 12 points.
- Uchenna Egekeze tallied six assists.
- Olivet welcomes Kalamazoo College to the Cutler Event Center next Wednesday, February 4. Tip-off is scheduled at 8 p.m.
