WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Olivet College men's basketball team came up short against University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, 83-67, today at Kachel Gymnasium.

- In the first half, the Warhawks built an eight-point lead on two occasions. After the last time at 20-12, the Comets went used an 11-0 run over the next two minutes to go ahead 23-20. Whitewater came back to tie the score at 27-27. Olivet answered with an 8-3 spurt for a 35-30 lead at the 6:16 mark. The teams exchanged baskets to create another five-point differential with 5:03 left before halftime. Over the final five minutes of the half, the Warhawks outscored the Comets 15-2 for a 47-39 advantage at the halftime break.
- In the second half, Olivet fought back to close the gap to a single point, 53-52, with 13:25 left. The Comets did not get any closer for the rest of the game. Whitewater's largest lead was 18 points.
- For the game, Olivet made three more baskets than the Warhawks, but Whitewater made three more shots from behind the arc. The difference in the game was the Comets were 5-of-7 from the free throw line compared to 24-of-34 for the Warhawks.
- Senior Ryan Robinette topped Olivet with 13 points.
- Junior Ryan Bart scored 11 points, with a team-best three triples.
- Senior Tevin Ali netted 10 points and grabbed a team-best eight rebounds.
- Trevon Chislom led all players with 21 points, including 8-of-13 shooting, and nine rebounds.
- Jameer Barker finished with 17 points.
- Devin Barnstable and Drew Fisher tallied 12 and 10 points, respectively.
- The Comets travel to play Defiance (Ohio) College next Wednesday, December 14, at 7:30 p.m.
