FREELAND, Mich. – Another honor has been bestowed on Olivet College junior Shawn Pardee, as today he was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, for the week of December 30, 2019-January 5, 2020.
Each week during the college basketball season, the D3hoops.com staff selects five players for the honor. For last week's team, Pardee was joined by Randall Walker, a senior guard from The College of New Jersey; Jalen Weber, a senior guard from University of Texas-Dallas; Jacob Bates, a senior forward from Centre (Ky.) College; and Jake Hahn, a senior forward from Hampden-Sydney (Va.) College.
Pardee scored a career-high 27 points, as the Comets upset No. 18-ranked Carthage (Wis.) College Dec. 31 at the Battle Creek Central High School Fieldhouse. He grabbed down five rebounds and dished out five assists, and had only one turnover in 37 minutes of action. Pardee made 7-of-14 baskets, including 4-of-6 from behind the three-point arc, and 9-of-10 free throws for his 27 points.
The Comets open MIAA play Wednesday night at Hope College. Tip-off from the DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland is 7:30 p.m.
