Jennings earns MIAA Player of the Week honors

Olivet College junior Nathan Jennings (Grant) has earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Player of the Week honors in men's basketball. He is being honored for the first time this season.
Jennings posted his first double-double of the season in leading the Comets to an 80-68 win over Finlandia University Dec. 19. He scored 23 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds. Jennings made 9-of-16 shots, including one three-pointer, and 4-of-6 free throws for his 23 points, and five of the rebounds were offensive. He also added four assists and four steals.
For the season, Jennings ranks among the MIAA leaders in scoring (2nd, 16.3 ppg), free throw percentage (2nd, 79.3 percent), field goal percentage (3rd, 46.8 percent), blocks (4th, 1.13 bpg) and rebounding (6th, 6.1 rpg).
Olivet is back in action tomorrow night when it travels to play Grand Valley State University at 7 p.m.
