Olivet College’s McClary named MIAA Player of the Week
Olivet College senior forward Brandon McClary (Bellaire) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Player of the Week.
Olivet College senior forward Brandon McClary (Bellaire) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Player of the Week.
McClary scored a career-high 38 points in the Comets' 81-79 win over Franklin (Ind.) College Dec. 16. He drained 19-of-26 shots for his 38 points, which is the fourth-best for a single-game in Olivet history. McClary also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, blocked one shot and made four steals in 36 minutes.
For the season, McClary ranks among the MIAA leaders in scoring (3rd, 18.4 ppg); rebounding (3rd, 7.3 rpg); steals (4th,16); blocked shots (5th, nine); offensive rebounds (1st, 37); and minutes played (2nd, 332).
McClary and the Comets are idle until next Wednesday, Dec. 30, when they travel to Midland to play Northwood University. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
