Just one day after being named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Player of the Week, Olivet College senior forward Brandon McClary (Bellaire) has earned D3hoops.com Team of the Week honors.
Each week during the college basketball season, D3hoops.com staff selects five players for the honor. McClary joins Ben Rubin, a guard from Middlebury (Vt.) College, as this week's honorees.
Last week, McClary helped the Comets win their final two regular season games and secure the No. 4 seed in the 2009 MIAA Tournament. In a 75-72 double overtime win at Alma College Feb. 18, he scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds. In an 81-76 win against Adrian College Feb. 21, McClary posted a double-double, 16 points and 14 rebounds.
