McClary scored 38 points and grabbed 22 rebounds, as the Comets swept a pair of non-league games last week. In a 75-72 double overtime win at Alma College Feb. 18, he scored a team-high 22 points and pulled down eight rebounds. McClary followed that performance with his eighth double-double of the season, 16 points and 14 rebounds in an 81-76 win against Adrian College Feb. 21. For the week, McClary made 17-of-29 (58.6 percent) shots from the field and 4-of-5 free throws.
For the season, McClary leads the team and ranks among the league leaders in almost every statistical category, including scoring (17.3 ppg), field goal percentage (50.5), rebounding (7.8 rpg) and blocks (22). His scoring ranks third in the MIAA, while the rebounding and blocks are second.
McClary and the Comets will host Kalamazoo College in a first round game of the 2009 MIAA Tournament Wedesday night at 7:30 p.m. Since the inception of the conference tournament in 1993, it is only the third time in school history that Olivet will host a first round game.
