Men’s basketball team celebrates season with banquet
The Olivet College men’s basketball team celebrated its 2008-09 season with a banquet April 19 inside the college’s Oaks Dining Room. As part of the banquet, awards were given out to the players for their performance on and off the basketball court during the season.

Senior Brandon McClary of Bellaire was selected as the Most Valuable Player. Juniors Andy Clark of Lansing and Bryan Dutton of Jackson shared the Most Improved Player. Junior Joel Kerns of North Judson, Ind., received the Coaches Award.
Kerns and Brandon McClary were co-recipients of the Captain Award. Sophomore Mike McClary of Bellaire received the Chairman of the Boards and shared the Best Defensive Player award with sophomore Joe Post of Olivet. Junior Andre Evans of Muskegon was presented with the Best Free Throw Shooter and Newcomer of the Year awards. Junior Blake Brannick of Jackson received the Scholar-Athlete Award.
Kerns was also selected be the team's captain during the 2009-10 season.
