The Olivet College men's basketball team closed the first half of its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedule with an 80-70 loss tonight at Calvin College.
Senior Brandon Way (Detroit/Southwestern) scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Comets. He was 8-of-11 from the floor, including 7-of-10 from behind the three-point arc. Senior Jeff Cooper (Dowagiac) joined him in double figures with a season-high 18 points, including four three's. Junior Brandon McClary (Bellaire) had 13 points. Brandon McClary and freshman Michael McClary (Bellaire) each grabbed seven rebounds.
Olivet returns home to face Adrian College Saturday to begin the second half of its round-robin league schedule. Tip-off from the Upton Center is 3 p.m.
