Men's basketball team loses to Hope, 86-58

Junior Brandon McClary (Bellaire) scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Comets (5-14, 1-8 MIAA). Senior Paul Smith (Jackson/Napoleon) tallied a career-high 12 points and tied a career-high with eight rebounds. Senior Brandon Way (Detroit/Southwestern) finished with 10 points. Freshman Michael McClary (Bellaire) grabbed a team-leading nine rebounds.
Jesse Reimink posted a double-double, 15 points and 13 rebounds, for Hope. Derek VanSolkema contributed 20 points. Tyler Wolfe also had 15 points to go along with seven assists.
Olivet will look to bounce back from the loss Saturday night when it hosts Albion College. Tip-off from the Upton Center in Olivet is 7:30 p.m.
