Bio

Michael Lazusky returned for a second stint as an assistant football coach at Olivet College in 2017. In addition to his coaching duties, he serves as an associate director of athletics.

Lazusky was a member of the Trine (Ind.) University coaching staff from 1996-2013, with most of his time coaching the defense. While there, Trine won three straight MIAA championships from 2008-10, including a perfect 10-0 regular season record in 2008 and 2010.

Prior to joining Trine’s staff, Lazusky served as the head football coach at Hiram College in Ohio for three seasons after being the defensive coordinator for one season. He was also the head men’s and women’s track & field coach for one year. Lazusky was also an assistant football coach for one season each at Defiance (Ohio) College, Hillsdale College and Shippensburg (Pa.) University.

Lazusky also served as an assistant business professor and business instructor at Trine. He also taught classes in the sports sciences department at both Hiram and Defiance.

Lazusky earned both of his collegiate degrees from Shippensburg -- a bachelor’s degree in business education in 1994 and a master’s degree in education in 1995.
