Olivet College’s Kunnuji named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week
HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Olivet College freshman Samuel Kunnuji has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Comets’ 63-7 win at Greenville (Ill.) University.
HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Olivet College freshman Samuel Kunnuji has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Comets' 63-7 win at Greenville (Ill.) University.
Kunnuji finished the game with eight carries for 196 yards and three touchdowns. The touchdown runs covered 73, 23 and 55 yards. The 73-yard run was on Olivet's third offensive play of the game.
Kunnuji is the second Olivet player to MIAA Offensive Player of the Week this season. The other was fellow freshman Dontal Wright who had five carries for 197 yards and three touchdowns against Eureka (Ill.) College.
The Comets are off until Saturday, October 8, when they open MIAA play against Kalamazoo College. The game is Olivet's annual Homecoming contest and kicks-off at 2 p.m.
