Olivet College’s Sine garners MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week honors

FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College freshman Brendan Sine has garnered Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Special Teams Player of the Week honors for football.

Sine averaged 38.0 yards on three punts in the Comets' 34-17 win over Trine (Ind.) University. Two of the punts traveled 45 yards, and one landed inside the Thunder 20-yard line.

The Comets host Hope College Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Both teams enter the game with 3-0 records against MIAA opponents. Olivet has a perfect 6-0 record, and the Flying Dutchmen's only loss was a setback in their season-opener.
