Olivet College?s Terranova named MIAA Defensive Player of the Week
Olivet College junior defensive back Michael Terranova (Lansing/Lansing Catholic Central) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Defensive Player of the Week for football.
Olivet College junior defensive back Michael Terranova (Lansing/Lansing Catholic Central) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Defensive Player of the Week for football. He and the Comets (4-3, 4-0 MIAA) defeated Tri-State (Ind.) University, 21-14, Oct. 20.
Terranova intercepted three passes, returning two for touchdowns (23- and four-yard-returns). He returned the third interception 21 yards before a shoestring tackle prevented him from scoring. Terranova also finished the game with seven tackles.
For the season, Terranova has 19 solo and 19 assisted tackles for 38 total stops. He is one of three Comet defensive backs with four interceptions each.
Olivet goes in search of its fifth straight MIAA win Saturday, Oct. 29, when it plays at Alma College. Kickoff from Bahlke Field in Alma is 1 p.m.
