Olivet College’s Terranova and Patten earn 2007 D3football.com All-American honors
Olivet College junior defensive back Michael Terranova (Lansing/Lansing Catholic) and sophomore punter Ryan Patten (Charlotte) have earned 2007 D3football.com All-American honors. Terranova is a third-team selection, while Patten is an honorable mention selection.

Terranova led the Comets' secondary with 71 total tackles, including 39 solo stops and 8.5 tackles for loss yardage. He also had four interceptions, returning two for touchdowns in a 21-14 win against Tri-State (Ind.) University. Patten had 59 punts for a single-season school record 43.0 average. His longest punt was 58 yards and 13 landed inside the opponent's 20-yard line.
One hundred players earned All-American honors, including 11 starters on offense and defense plus three special teamers on each of four teams. It's the ninth annual D3football.com All-American team. Terranova and Patten were the first players in Olivet College history to earn D3football.com All-American honors.
Under the direction of Head Coach Dominic Livedoti, Olivet had a 6-1 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association record to win its first conference title since 1974.
